What is Serc 16mg Tablet?

Serc 16mg Tablet contains Betahistine Dihydrochloride 16mg per tablet. It is a prescription medicine used to manage the symptoms of Ménière's disease — a condition of the inner ear that causes recurring episodes of severe dizziness (vertigo), ringing in the ears (tinnitus), and hearing loss.

Betahistine improves blood flow inside the inner ear, reducing the fluid pressure build-up that triggers these symptoms. The 16mg strength allows the full daily dose to be taken in fewer tablets, making it more convenient for patients on regular treatment.

What is Serc 16mg Used For?

  • Vertigo / Dizziness (چکر آنا) — reduces the frequency and severity of spinning dizziness episodes, including associated nausea and vomiting
  • Tinnitus (کانوں میں آوازیں) — helps reduce persistent ringing or buzzing sounds in the ears caused by inner ear pressure
  • Hearing loss — supports improvement in hearing affected by Ménière's disease

How Does Serc 16mg Work?

Betahistine acts on histamine receptors in the blood vessels of the inner ear. It widens these blood vessels and improves circulation, which reduces the abnormal build-up of fluid and pressure in the inner ear (endolymphatic hydrops). This mechanism helps reduce both the intensity and the frequency of Ménière's attacks over time with regular use.
