What is Tames Capsules 0.4mg?
Tames Capsules 0.4mg contain Tamsulosin, a medicine used to treat symptoms of an enlarged prostate gland in men, also called Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) — or پروسٹیٹ گلینڈ کا بڑھ جانا. It relaxes the muscles around the prostate and the opening of the bladder, making it easier to pass urine. It does not shrink the prostate but quickly improves urine flow and reduces discomfort. A prescription from a doctor is required before use.
What is Tames 0.4mg Used For?
Tames is prescribed for men who have difficulty passing urine because of an enlarged prostate. It relieves the following symptoms:
- Weak or slow urine stream (کمزور پیشاب کا بہاؤ)
- Difficulty starting urination
- Frequent need to urinate during the day or night
- Feeling that the bladder has not fully emptied
How Does Tames Work?
Tamsulosin belongs to a group of medicines called Alpha-1 Blockers. It works by relaxing smooth muscles in the prostate and the bladder neck. When these muscles relax, urine flows more freely and with less effort. The capsule must be swallowed whole. Do not crush or chew it. It is usually taken once daily, 30 minutes after the same meal each day.
Important Warnings and Side Effects
Tames can cause dizziness when you stand up quickly — this is called orthostatic hypotension (اچانک چکر آنا). Always rise slowly from a chair or bed. Other possible side effects include headache and, in some men, retrograde ejaculation (سیمن کا پیچھے مثانے میں جانا) — this is not harmful but inform your doctor. Do not drive or use machines if you feel dizzy after taking this medicine. Tell your doctor about all other medicines you take, especially blood pressure medicines.
Storage
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children (بچوں کی پہنچ سے دور رکھیں). Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack.
