What is Nezkil 400mg?

Nezkil 400mg is a prescription antibiotic tablet containing Linezolid 400mg, used to treat serious bacterial infections (بیکٹیریل انفیکشن) caused by gram-positive organisms including drug-resistant strains such as MRSA. Linezolid belongs to the oxazolidinone class of antibiotics and works through a unique mechanism that makes it effective against bacteria that have developed resistance to other antibiotic classes. It is prescribed for skin infections, pneumonia, and resistant enterococcal infections under close medical supervision and should only be used for confirmed bacterial infections.

What is Nezkil 400mg Used For?

Complicated Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Treats serious skin and deeper tissue infections caused by susceptible gram-positive bacteria including MRSA. Uncomplicated Skin Infections: Manages mild to moderate skin infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pyogenes. Community-Acquired Pneumonia: Treats pneumonia caused by susceptible gram-positive respiratory bacteria. Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus faecium (VRE): Treats infections caused by this resistant organism when other antibiotics are not effective.

How Does Nezkil 400mg Work?

Linezolid binds to the 23S ribosomal RNA of the bacterial 50S ribosomal subunit, blocking an early and unique step in bacterial protein synthesis. This mechanism is different from all other antibiotic classes, which is why Linezolid remains effective against bacteria that have become resistant to penicillins, cephalosporins, and vancomycin. By preventing bacteria from producing essential proteins, Linezolid stops their growth and allows the immune system to clear the infection.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Nezkil 400mg different from Nezkil Syrup 100mg/5ml?

Both contain Linezolid and treat the same types of infections. Nezkil 400mg tablets are used for adults requiring a lower initial dose or for less severe infections. Nezkil Syrup is formulated for children or patients who cannot swallow tablets. Your doctor will prescribe the appropriate form and strength based on your condition and age.

Why must I complete the full course of Nezkil 400mg?

Stopping an antibiotic early, even when symptoms improve, allows surviving bacteria to recover and multiply. This increases the risk of the infection returning and may contribute to antibiotic resistance. Always finish the full course exactly as prescribed.
