What is Ciproquine Tablets 250mg?
Ciproquine Tablets 250mg contain Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride, a powerful broad-spectrum antibiotic that kills a wide range of harmful bacteria in the body. It belongs to the Fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics and works by stopping bacteria from reproducing and repairing themselves, which destroys the infection. It is effective against many types of bacterial infections affecting different parts of the body. Ciproquine does not treat viral infections such as colds or flu. A prescription from a doctor is required before use.
What is Ciproquine Used For?
Ciproquine 250mg is prescribed by doctors to treat infections caused by bacteria that are sensitive to Ciprofloxacin, including:
- Urinary Tract Infections (پیشاب کی نالی کا انفیکشن): Including simple bladder infections and kidney infections
- Respiratory Tract Infections: Including bronchitis and certain types of pneumonia
- Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Such as infected wounds and cellulitis
- Stomach and Intestinal Infections: Including traveler's diarrhea and typhoid fever
- Bone and Joint Infections: Such as osteomyelitis
- Prostate Infections: Chronic bacterial prostatitis
- Sexually Transmitted Infections: Uncomplicated gonorrhea
How Does Ciproquine Work?
Ciprofloxacin works by blocking two essential enzymes that bacteria need to copy and repair their DNA. Without these enzymes, bacteria cannot multiply and they die, clearing the infection from the body. It is important to complete the full course of tablets prescribed by your doctor, even if you start feeling better early. Stopping too soon can cause the infection to return and become harder to treat.
