Brufen Duo tablets combine two well-known pain relief medicines in one tablet — Paracetamol 500mg and Ibuprofen 150mg. Paracetamol reduces pain and fever while ibuprofen fights inflammation and swelling (سوجن اور درد). Together they provide faster and more effective relief than either medicine alone — making Brufen Duo a practical choice when pain and inflammation need to be treated at the same time. How Does Brufen Duo Work?
Paracetamol works on the brain to reduce the feeling of pain and lower body temperature during fever. Ibuprofen blocks COX enzymes that produce prostaglandins — the chemicals responsible for causing inflammation, swelling, and pain in the body. The combination of both actions means Brufen Duo tackles pain from two different directions simultaneously — providing stronger and longer-lasting relief than a single-ingredient product.
Dosage
The usual adult dose is 1 to 2 tablets up to 4 times daily — leaving at least 6 hours between doses. Do not exceed 6 tablets in any 24-hour period. Always take with food or milk to protect the stomach. Use for short-term relief only — do not take continuously for more than a few days without consulting your doctor.

Who Should NOT Use Brufen Duo?
Not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Do not use if you have a stomach ulcer, liver disease, severe kidney problems, or a known allergy to ibuprofen, paracetamol, or any NSAID. Avoid during the last 3 months of pregnancy. Do not take alongside other products containing paracetamol or ibuprofen — this can cause accidental overdose. Always inform your doctor if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, or are taking blood thinners.
Side Effects
Common: nausea, stomach upset, or indigestion — taking with food reduces this risk.
Serious (rare): signs of liver damage such as yellowing of skin or eyes, stomach bleeding indicated by black stools, or a severe allergic reaction causing facial swelling or breathing difficulty — stop immediately and seek urgent medical help.
Storage
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children (بچوں کی پہنچ سے دور رکھیں). Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
